Today is Sunday and I wanted to share this photo of me in the pulpit of the First Christian Church of Petra built about 500 AD. In its day it was an awesome building.

I was just discussing Petra with a reader the other day. She was an architect and I mentioned that Petra was such an inspiration to me. The rose color of the stone, the sturdy columns, the significance of the Nabataeans. I am so envious that you get to experience it up close.
